This beautiful map is full of information, a definite Map Guide! On side 1 is St. Thomas and St. John with close ups of main towns/areas like Cruz Bay, Coral Bay and Charlotte Amalie. On side 2 is St. Croix with close ups of Frederiksted and Christiansted. Main roads are well labeled, as are estates and beaches. The mountains on the islands are shown in a smooth and wonderful green shaded relief, based on USGS. (United States Geographic Service) digital elevation models (“DEMs”). The waters around the islands are shown in Caribbean-turquoise blues in descending hues to represent the depths, which are based on data from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). The map is loaded with pertinent information about the Virgin Islands, particularly the dozens of superlative dive sites found there. The map indicates paved and dirt roads, trails, anchorages, points of interest, ruins and lodgings. Snorkeling sites are also labeled. Around the maps are Virgins Islands’ facts, history, weather and fish & reef creatures. Yes on both sides you will find some of the popular fish seen while snorkeling or diving around the islands like Jacks, Rays, Crabs and Corals.
